Signs of spring

In the ten years I spent in Bethlehem, PA, the first sign of spring was always marked by the re-appearance of Harley-Davidsons on the road. Spring in Cambridge, MA has been slow to come this year, but last week the ice finally melted on the Charles River, helped by a few speedboats on Thursday that seemed to be the exact same speedboats supervising college rowers the next morning.
